Boob
Boob
the Clown has been wowing audiences with how funny he is since
before he can remember. He believes very firmly that true clowns
are born into it, and anyone else who attempts the craft will
inevitably be not as good.
Boob started wearing the makeup when he was fourteen years of
age, and hasn’t taken it off since (obviously I have taken it
off- duh!). Around that same time he and his longtime colleague,
Drippy, began to educate themselves on the history of this fine
art form. Through the great Auguste/Whiteface collaboration of
Chocolit and Footit, they were able to learn how to be as genius
as is humanly possible.
However, no clown has been a greater influence to Boob than Joey
Grimaldi. He is inspired by Grimaldi’s senses of irony and wit.
I’ve also been saving to attend the yearly Joey Grimaldi memorial
service, which is held in England once a year. In addition to
studying the work of these clowns from the past, I dream of one
day forming a large-scale troupe with Drippy, and being the highest
profile clowns in the world.
Boob made the honor role during most of middle school and high
school, and he did drama in ninth grade.
Drippy
Drippy
comes from a fairly average background, and perhaps would have
been a fairly average person if he had not teamed up to form a
partnership with Boob the Clown. Nearly twenty years ago, Drippy
discovered in himself a spark that rings true to this day. The
spark of wanting to be a clown.
Throughout his career, Drippy has been awe struck by the gears,
if you will, that turn inside an effective clown’s brain. Why
was Grock’s pratfall so much more technically sound than Dan Rice’s?
How is Povlov able to juggle so many balls? These are questions.
Drippy’s strong point is his pratfall. Boob says that he’ll go
down in history for it.
Besides clowning, Drippy has many other interests. As a child,
he tried Tae Kwon Do, but was not connected because it did not
bring laughter and joy to other people. Unless Laughter and joy
is a scratched shin or a bruised midsection! He also does good
impressions such as Melissa Rivers and Vinnie from Doogie Howser,
MD.
In the future, Drippy aspires to gather twenty of the best clowns
in the world into one troupe and be a producing clown. Felix Adler
is the producing clown that inspires Drippy’s mind the most, and
Drippy is primed and ready to consider thinking about starting
to be a producing clown.
